I had good experiences in this airport. Before flying into it, my friends who live in Detroit said it was awful, dirty, etc. So I was prepared for the...McNamara terminal is very nice.... Smith terminal is a real DUMP. But it's being redone and supposed to be open in September... I imagine the new terminal...Big place for Detroit! 3 terminals, 30-50 gates each. Security took forever at 5:45p on a Tuesday. The security line had 50 people waiting, and it took 30...

Flew in and out of Terminal A this weekend and was quite impressed....both by the long walk down (we wanted to stretch our legs but there is a tram you can...I was here for a brief layover. In the relatively new McNamara terminal there's a large selection of eateries (mostly chains) and shops. Two "The Stylish...It is hard to give an airport a good rating.
